Welcome to the Raptor’s Nest.
Use of the Raptor’s Nest Classified system has been designed to be as easy to use as possible. Everyone who desires to advertise is required to register prior to posting ads. This is required because email is used to notify advertisers of the status of their ads. Everyone else may elect to register if they please. The features non-registered users will be unable to utilize are the Memorize Ads feature and maintaining anonymous email addresses if corresponding with an advertiser about an ad. The Memorize Ads feature is basically a customized list of ads a registered user has identified an interest in. As a registered user, a button is added to all ads titled MEMORIZE. If selected, the ad will be incorporated into a personalized list. This makes it easier to keep track of any ads you have an interest in instead of scrolling through the list all the time.
All email addresses are kept confidential to the Raptor’s Nest. You can modify your email address at anytime by modifying your registration information when you are logged on. If an unregistered buyer sends an email to the advertiser, the advertiser has the option of responding via regular email and revealing his email or not responding at all.
All registered users must use their first and last name as the user ID. This protocol is not regulated at registration but if not followed, will result in the registration being deleted by an Administrator function.
After a person is registered, they can post ads. After an ad is posted, the Administrator approves the ad. This is usually within 24 hours. An email will notify the ad submitter that the ad is now public. The ad can be closed or deleted at any time by the submitter. It can also be re-listed with changes but will need to be re-approved by an Administrator before it is made public again.
The Raptor’s Nest is provided as a free service to facilitate falconry. In addition to the functionality of the classified ads, simple web pages are made to help advertise a product year round. All you need to do is provide some pictures and some language explaining your product and contact information.
Only currently available raptors (at earliest fertilized eggs) or currently available raptor semen is allowed under the RAPTOR category. This policy also applies to any product. Only list currently available products under their respective categories. If you have a product that is not currently available but plan on it being available in the future, use the NOTICE category.
