The Utah Falconers Association (UFA) primary purpose for existing is to watch over the Utah state Falconry Proclamation which gets reviewed every 5 years. The club wants all falconers in the state to be a part of the UFA to enable better communication to the Utah falconry community. Being a member of the UFA allows Utah falconers to represent a unified position on issues to the State Division of Wildlife Services (DWR). The club values a good working relationship with the DWR. Being a member of the UFA helps accomplish that.
The club also has social activities through out the year. A summer Eyas Party is held annually as well as a fall hunting meet called the King Fredrick meet. The most significant event is the Annual Gerald Richard Sky Trials held every February. After the death of Gerald, the sky trials continued and are currently being sponsored by the URFBA.
Club dues are $10.00 annually and can be sent to the club secretary. Any non-resident falconer, or interested person, can join the club. This would allow you to receive mailings throughout the year about activities related to the club or issues involving the DWR.
